Joe Biden was promoting platform censorship and claimed that people died of COVID-19 because of Facebook. Charles is partially correct in that Facebook and others are actively squelching the free flow of information – the exact thing that tyrannical governments have done (and still do). Post anything you like as long as it agrees with The Office of Approved Opinion.
In 2009, Charles attempted satire and failed, yet he was accidentally prescient:

Charles wanted a Facebook account, yet he couldn’t do it. He spent much time castigating others for joining Facebook “groups” that (according to Charles) included neonazis, anti-semites and other unsavory types, and everyone in such a “group” were guilty by association. Robert Spencer joined one such group (either accidentally or due to their deception) and suddenly he became an anti-semite himself. Once Charles discovered that bizarre connection, all of Spencer’s Facebook “friends” became neonazis including Pamela Geller.

Due to his paranoia, Charles could never join Facebook without vetting EVERYONE who connected with him lest he be painted with his own guilt-by-association brush. He has no control – no way to ban anyone, no way to prevent others from reading his blog-pimping unless he kept his posts private. That’s a deal breaker for an attention whore.

Pure obsessive-compulsive paranoia, then and now; Charles Johnson gets a vicarious thrill watching the Censorship Games.
BTW, the LGF groups are still there, Charles.

Couple of things you missed, Charles.

California’s Trail of Tiers.

Absurd.

PART 5 – THE LIBERAL TURNAROUND
Up until the election of Barrack Obama in 2008, LGF could still be seen as essentially a conservative blog. Indeed, in blog awards voting, LGF was consistently listed as “conservative” and Johnson voiced no qualms about the distinction.
But a change was in the wind, and in 2008 Johnson became obsessed with religion and “creationism” in particular. At the same time, his posts took a decidedly “anti-Christian” tone. The same fervor with which Johnson once exposed Islamofascism around the globe, he became intent on uncovering the evil ensconced in the Christian belief that God created the heavens and earth, while ignoring the fact that other major religions held similar belief systems.
Johnson ran regular threads about lawmakers wanting to teach creationism in classrooms, with the theme that if this view prevailed and Intelligent Design and/or creationism was even discussed in schoolrooms, the Republic was doomed. While many at LGF agreed with Johnson that creationism or even intelligent design should not be taught in the schools, many were not ready to abandon their own religions and follow the tenets of Darwin. Of the religious frequenters to LGF, most realized that creationism and evolution were not necessarily contradictory.

PART 4 – THE FLOUNCES
In contrast to The Bannings, there were many who saw the writing on the wall at Little Green Footballs. Rather than wait for Charles Johnson’s own sock puppet “Stinky Beaumont” to fetch the banning stick, they decided to leave voluntarily. Most just walked away quietly, but there were many who wanted to have one last word before they left. These comments were referred to as “flounces.”
The record of “flounces” is sparse, as once a member of Little Green Footballs announced that he/she was leaving, Johnson would delete the comment, often within seconds, depriving other lizards and the public from reading the complaint. Once a lizard “flounced” he/she was no longer welcome, and was mocked by the remaining hive of LGF supporters. No matter how popular or prolific the “flouncer” had been at LGF, he/she was instantly demonized and smeared as someone who shouldn’t have been allowed to post in the first place.

PART 3 – THE BANNINGS
Every blogger, regardless of the size or popularity of his/her blog, eventually will have to deal with a troll. It’s no fun when someone shows up with the intent to irritate everyone.[1]

[First banning, post-911, courtesy of The Boiler Room Crew]
No one would claim that Charles Johnson never banned anyone from trolling on LGF. Indeed one unpopular commenter was banned in April of 2005 for his/her continual “baiting” of other posters, often creating an incredibly hostile atmosphere. In addition, there were some posters who for one reason or another went overboard (especially when discussing Islam and the Middle East) and were told that they might be happier elsewhere. Fair enough.

PART 2- THE ASCENDANCE OF CHARLES JOHNSON AND LITTLE GREEN FOOTBALLS
Thread Topics, National Recognition and Commenting
It cannot be disputed that Charles Johnson was once noted for exposing radical Islam in stories that were not broadcast or found on what is termed the “mainstream media.” Johnson found interesting and newsworthy stories that went under-reported or ignored by the MSM and opened them up for discussion. He was celebrated for exposing rampant anti-Semitism found on Arabic television, especially in children’s programming. He documented efforts by the United States and others to eradicate terrorism, both politically and militarily, often sporting headlines such as “Got Two in Gaza!” or “Got Four in Lebanon!” referring to the number of enemy combatants killed.
More to the point, Little Green Footballs was interesting to read simply as an observer. His blog members at the time included well-educated, well-read individuals from all walks of life – physicians, attorneys, editors, engineers, meteorologists, teachers and other professionals, with first hand knowledge of the various topics presented for discussion. Review the comments section of any thread prior to 2009 dealing with world and domestic affairs and you will find a treasure trove of links, research, first-hand experience and commentary that rivaled anything offered by the alphabet networks and cable news.
Johnson was propelled to national attention and prominence as a central figure in the scandal known as “Rathergate,” the fraud promoted by Dan Rather and CBS. Rather and CBS proffered forged Texas Air National Guard memoranda[1] less than two months prior to the 2004 Presidential Election, in an effort to discredit President George W. Bush. The Jazz Man really needs to get back to the music industry. He recent blog post titles are juvenile rants and smears.

Those damn Nazis rear their heads again!

Yes waiting 3 days for an abortion is evil Charles!

If Obama proposes sending ground troops into Libya, you know Charles would be all for it!

Yeah they GOP wants a 3 day waiting period for abortions to poor women can be forced to have kids. These headlines are so hysterical that Prison Planet seems sane now. He exaggerates, smears and creates hysteria with his posts. If you want to get a Progressive perspective, why not go to Huffington Post, Think Progress, TPM, Media Matters and Daily Kos? There at least you will have real analysis of the news from leftist perspective and not the juvenile hysteria of Charles.
These post titles are signs of a paranoid delusional man. Chuck, I think you need to go play video games and live out your fantasies there.

Alex Jones has nothing on the Charles Johnson of 2011. Chuck once against claims to have uncovered another nefarious Conservative plot!

Chuck, has it ever occurred to you that these organizations have been leaching off taxpayers? You’re OK with Gov. Walker being pranked, but are against undercover videos of these organizations. Clearly you are a paranoid hypocrite that lives in some delsuional world where’s there’s some Nazi plot. There’s no conspiracy Charles, grow up and be a man for once.

Charles Johnson has been toggling recently. He’s been flipping a switch, blocking and unblocking archived comments on an irregular basis.
Why he’s doing it is anyone’s guess, but it seems to The Boiler Room Crew that he’s testing the waters for a full-blown vaporization of millions of pre-2008 comments from his website, not only erasing his own history, but the history of many others. That he’s poised to evaporate millions of comments is not an exaggeration, either. There’s no question that Mr. Lizard is expending a lot of time and trouble on this.
It has also been confirmed that he’s blocking entire regions from accessing LGF archives. Why would he do this? I’ll tell you. He’s scared and paranoid for what he and his loyal lizards posted back then when they were credible, when they made a difference, before the purge of the sentients.
Check this out. Here’s a recent roster of the current LGF Saints and Sinners. It’s a long list, so it continues below the break.
