It’s such an embarrassing spectacle, this failed enterprise. I don’t feel sorry for the a-hole, but it’s such a pathetic begging performance…we have some fake “refugees” currently begging on our local off-ramps and high-traffic intersections, with scripted signs pleading for help — they have one child with each couple, for extra legitimacy. The whole scam is obvious, reprehensible, but well-organized. I can guarantee you the group responsible is hauling in more money this week than Chonky has made in ten years of groveling.

Covid is a back-burner flu bug. The only people seriously affected by it are the same ones who get sick& die with any flu virus. Co-morbidities exist. Now do cancer.
An unvaxed friend got Covid & was very sick, including blood clots in his lungs. Fortunately, the clots were taken care of at the hospital. He told me that he never takes any Vitamins, including D. His unvaxed wife, caught Covid from him and although she’s way overweight, her symptoms were mild. She is also adamant about taking her vitamin C & D. Food for thought.
Another friend, prone to lung issues, got bronchitis and didn’t get it treated. By the time he finally went to the hospital, it was too late. He passed away & lo & behold! His death was listed as Covid!
The missus and I are now naturally immune, A day and 1/2 of headache with low grade fever & aches. The missus’ headache was migraine-level with accompanying nausea with a sore throat. She spent the day in bed. Mine wasn’t as bad.
My understanding is that you can still catch Covid again because of the variants. Take your vitamins!!
I had the Real Covid, back in November of 2020. This New Coke Covid is a joke, by comparison. It’s a cold, or run-of-the-mill flu bug, only dangerous to people with serious co-morbidities. I had it a few months back, and it was four days of congestion.

I had to skim a few chapters, when he really went into the weeds on the Parliamentary haggling and behind-the-scenes skulduggery. Politics is always paramount, in wartime. What Churchill was able to accomplish against his enemies, at home and abroad, is nothing short of superhuman, imho. He gives America our just due, as well. The story of Russia, from enemy to ally and back to enemy, is brilliantly told. It’s just a huge pile of history, that is influencing the world to this day.
They will be my winter-in-front-of-fire reading. 🙂
