I lost weight and cut way back on the drink – worked like magic.
The alternative? Separate sleeping arrangements. We did that, too. If I have more than one drink in a night, she’ll just move to a different room for the night. No biggie.

The missus was out on errands one morning. I made a pot of coffee and went to take a shower. When I came back to the kitchen there was no coffee in the pot. It had transported itself to the thermos and turned off the coffee maker. I thought, “Cool. One less thing I have to do.”
So I turned to the kitchen table to get my cereal bowl and spoon, but they were gone.They had teleported to the dishwasher.
Life can be such a mysterious adventure!

She and her younger hubby live on a farm, with sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and a huge garden that grows all of their veggie necessities, and most of their animals’, too. They aren’t vegetarians, and they eat some of their animals, along with their eggs and milk. They’re real people. I kind of envy them.

My cousin is the youngest in her family. Raised by conservative parents. There was something wrong with her in college. I remember seeing her there before I went back to Thailand & remember getting weird vibes from her. She got pregnant soon after I saw her. The father of the child died unexpectedly. She married for a short time after that. Then there was a period of utter chaos in her life and attempts at suicide. She came out as gay & has had several dreadful relationships. Looking back, all I can say is that she ain’t right in the head.
That’s sad. I have a beautiful niece who suffers from schizophrenia, who needs to stay at a halfway house much of the time. Not for drugs or alcohol, just so somebody can keep an eye on her and see that she takes her meds most of the time. When she stops taking them, or they need to be adjusted, she starts hearing and seeing things, and the bad thoughts come into play. Things can get messed up in a hurry. 😢
