Blogmocracy Radio 03 October 2012 – The Breitbart Interview

From Blogmocracy

From The Ruse and Fail of LGF – Prologue:

In September 2011, there was some behind the scenes discussion about dumping all the LGF Archives. So much valuable work was about to be given away and thrown into the communal dumpster. I hated the thought, and wondered “Who despises Charles Johnson so much that he might be willing to pay for the Archive?” Twitterwars were in full swing, and the obvious answer was Andrew Breitbart.

So I emailed him. We talked over the phone a bit about the work of The Boiler Room Crew, and just before the conversation ended I asked him if he’d be interested in calling into our podcast, not expecting him to do so. He replied “Sure. When is it?”

What a jaw dropper.

The day of the podcast, 03 October 2011, was nerve-wracking as we couldn’t tell anyone who the mystery guest was (to prevent a troll storm) and we weren’t sure if he would call in at all. We had an hour to go and hadn’t heard anything, so I emailed him to see if he was still interested. His response was two words: “I’m in.”

The audio above is that interview. Rodan & Savage did a great job keeping their composure while speaking to The Happy Warrior.

Five months later he was gone.

R.I.P. Andrew Breitbart (1968-2012)

Good times! Breitbart was such a legend. Had no fucks left to give. We shall not see his unique blend again. 😢

  2. Octopus says:

‘Mouse, don’t be mad. Come back and play! 😄

    • rightymouse says:

      Ok. 🙂

      • rightymouse says:

I’ll have to play tomorrow. Leaving soon for an early St. Patty’s celebration at our club downtown. 🙂

      • Octopus says:

        That’s the spirit! 😃

Well, we got the rainiest week in Florida history for our Spring Break Orlando-Family Fun Fiesta. Personally, I’m okay with spending a few days mostly inside and reading, and then going out to eat with everyone. I’m avoiding most of the daily news grind, even though it’s impossible to completely shut it out.

Getting ready to go hit some fancy Disney eatery in an hour, followed by a little shopping and maybe a drink or two. Cheers!

        • rightymouse says:

          Have fun 👍!

        • windbag says:

Sounds fun. Have a great time. We still have unused, never-expire Disney tickets left. It’s probably been 15 years since we went. Florida is a fun, fun, fun place to vacation.

  3. dezzez says:

That doesn’t sound racist at all Chuck

  4. Octopus says:

    Chonky’s a lemon-squeezer, irl.

  5. Octopus says:

Umm…Trump made the US TOTALLY ENERGY INDEPENDENT, you fat sack of goo. We didn’t need to import oil from Russia. Biden’s handlers made sure to destroy us on that front immediately upon his assuming office.

    • dezzez says:

Chuck is the very definition of a cult member, he will never admit anything is wrong and he will defend every thing the dems do even if it is hurtful the entire nation, of course lying comes easy to him so it’s on brand

  6. rightymouse says:

Jussie Smollett goes to prison. Good!

  10. rightymouse says:

Am sorry, but I saw this and LMAO!! So I wanted to share.

  11. Octopus says:

Another priceless bon mot from the maw of blobfish. 😂

    • dezzez says:

Families are getting hammered at the pump and grocery, but hey, Chuck wants to deflect from that.

      • Octopus says:

Sadly, all he has are the long-debunked lies about Trump’s supposed crimes, of which there are none, despite a constant barrage of nonsensical accusations since before he even took office. Had there been any real crimes, Trump would have been charged and prosecuted, with the media baying ceaselessly for his head on a platter.

        • dezzez says:

It is simply amazing to watch people fabricate crimes, and then scream because no one will act on their fantasies

Just watched it for the first time. I’d forgotten about some of the details and players. The list of appearances at the end had some familiar names, too.

      • Octopus says:

Can’t wait to watch it. Right now, I have to get a few hours of sleep, because we had a sudden family emergency at home that requires our presence. Leaving here at 3:30am. Nobody’s dying, it’s just a thing we have to deal with pronto.

  13. rightymouse says:

Biden economics. What a dumb putz. 😆

  15. rightymouse says:

There is a Trump Rally tonight at Florence Regional Airport, South Carolina. He’s scheduled to speak at 7:00. Newsmax is going to cover the rally.

  16. rightymouse says:

Trump’s running again in 2024!! Just confirmed! Woohoo!

  17. rightymouse says:

    😆 😆 🙄 🙄

    My ears hurt

    • poteen2 says:

That sucks. Right from Jarreau down to that wannabe funk player.

      • Octopus says:

        Such rubbish! 😂😂😂😂

Firstly, Chonky, a baby could play those soulless chords you were assigned. A big fat baby, with fumbly fingers. Or, a chimp. You have NO talent!

Second, there’s a reason this kind of “music” never caught on anywhere, to the point where lots of people were screaming and demanding access. It sucks! It hurts the ears, and there’s nothing but a jerky head-bobbing rhythm to keep certain people involved. People who like to bob their heads, usually in a kneeling position. Mostly male people. No judgement! You do you. And him.

  19. rightymouse says:

    I hope Octo is ok.

    • Octopus says:

I’m fine, ‘Mouse. Just got home, after some fancy driving through some wild climate shifts. Climate Chaos OMFG!!

I need rest. Will explain tomorrow. The whole family is fine, and safe at home, after a couple of crazy days. 🤪🥰

      • rightymouse says:

Glad to hear you made it back safely. Driving back from Florida is arduous even with good weather. My FIL hated to fly so he always drove there when he was alive.

        • Octopus says:

I love driving long distances, as I’ve discussed before. To me, it’s a form of meditation, as well as a place I can listen to audiobooks, podcasts and weird music I don’t have time to enjoy any other time.

The reason we had to leave Florida so suddenly, was because my daughter’s German Shepherd got into a fight with the dog owned by the pet-sitter they were employing. Both dogs suffered bites that needed to be looked at by a vet, and then the pet-sitter wanted our Alphonse picked up ASAP, as she didn’t want Round 2. She admitted her dog had gotten into trouble with other dogs in the past, but thought he’d grown out of it. Seems both dogs tried to go through a door at the same time, and bloody hilarity ensued.

Long story long, my daughter and son-in-law got a plane reservation for 6 am Friday, meaning we had to leave our hotel at 3:30 am. Then, because of insane thunderstorms, their flight got canceled, and they couldn’t get out until Saturday. We had started driving north after dropping them off, and the monsoon driving was spectacular! My other daughter had left Florida on a later Friday flight, and was able to collect Alphonse Friday night.

Anyway, all is gut now. Except for the Covid. Which isn’t too bad, really. I still think Maria is bound to come down with it, but maybe she’s immune by now. We’ll see.

          • rightymouse says:

            OMG! Hope things settle down!

          • Octopus says:

It’s gonna be fine. Meanwhile, I will be resting this week and enjoying books, shows, and ordering in food. I have some chicken soup and sandwiches coming from a nearby deli at any minute. 😋

          • Abu Lost Many Balls says:

Glad all animals, and people, are gonna be fine.

Just got back from an Alabama golf trip. Chilly but the kindness of all locals was heartwarming. Got sunburn in March which is cool for an Illinois guy.

  20. Octopus says:

P.S. Thanks for caring! You’re the best. 😍

  21. rightymouse says:

French feminists paint their boobs and holler in support of Ukraine. That’ll scare Putin! 😆

  23. rightymouse says:

    Biden needs help. 😯

  24. rightymouse says:

  25. rightymouse says:

I’m just going to plop this here. Yes, you can still get Covid after being vaccinated. Same thing with the flu vaccine. I got the flu years ago (a very bad flu) after a flu shot. Also got a mild case of Covid after being vaccinated. Only those folks with serious co-morbidities like Fatso need to worry about getting vaccinated.

  26. Octopus says:

I just tested positive for Covid, the fourth person in our family vacation group to do so. I’ve had the original two-shot vaccine, plus a booster a couple months ago, plus having the original Covid Classic in November’21.
So far, 3-4 days in, it feels like a bad cold. I have to stay home for five days, at least. My brother and niece are positive, like my daughter and I. Somehow, my wife is negative, despite spending every night with me, and being in the same car about two feet apart for the past two days. Go figure. 🤔

    • rightymouse says:

Good grief! Did you use PCR or Antigen tests?

      • rightymouse says:

What are you taking for meds? Any fever 🤒??

        • Octopus says:

I think I had a fever two nights ago, but it passed quickly. Very similar to the first time I got this thing. Everything is milder, though, and no headache like I had for four days the first time. Just congestion, scratchy throat, and a flu-like feeling. Not taking any special meds. If it gets worse, I’ll talk to my brother-in-law about it.

          • rightymouse says:

Two things that scare me about Covid. Blood clots and pneumonia.

          • rightymouse says:

            Please be vigilant!

          • Octopus says:

You never know how it’s going to affect an individual, until they get it. Then it’s a crapshoot, whether it will be like a common nasty cold, or something that interacts with your comorbidities to put you on a ventilator. I’ve been down this road, and I feel like I know how it will go.

          • rightymouse says:

            Ok. Be well!

          • rightymouse says:

At our ages I figure we know how our immune systems work and what we are susceptible or not.

          • Octopus says:

I had a 3-hr nap this afternoon, which tells me I was exhausted after driving 17 hrs in two days, thinking I just had a regular cold. I get psyched up and caffeinated for my driving workouts. Then I usually need a day to de-compress.

My Covid-positive daughter came home to sleep tonight, with Henry, the lovable lapdog. She is working with her patients over Zoom, these days, so she can be anywhere. What a great job she’s carved out for herself, aside from having to deal with all these whiners. 😆 She makes great money, about twice as much as I used to make at her age, adjusted for inflation. And here I was, some years ago, advising her to stay in the “serious medical field,” and not go into the nebulous realm of Psychology.

          • rightymouse says:

            Keep us posted!!
When hubby & I were quarantined in Bangkok (supposedly with Covid), neither of us ran a fever. I had a cough that was treated & went away. Doc there told me he was worried about pneumonia. Told him I had the pneumonia vaccine before leaving the States.

          • Octopus says:

            Covid Update:
Not much to report, except the sinus congestion is blecchy, and I woke from my afternoon nap with a serious headache. No fever now. No loss of smell and taste. Normal fatigue, as you’d expect from any bad cold. My daughter reports much the same. She called it, “Covid Lite,” compared to our original encounter with the thing in November ’21.

Maria and I finished the season of “1883,” and lemme just say…I ain’t sayin’ nothin’! No spoilers here. But it was a special show to experience, as was “Yellowstone,” to which it is a prequel. I look forward to the sequel to this prequel, which is going to be called, “1932.” This group of filmmakers have a lot of storytelling talent.

  28. Octopus says:

The New Yorker clings desperately to the “Blame Trump!”-canard, as Biden’s ludicrously incompetent regime notches one farcical fail after another, on a daily basis. These are your Elite Thought Leaders, on the Idiot Left. They are as trapped in their suffocating ignorance as Chonky is trapped in his bunker, unable to squeeze through the doors anymore, no matter how much Asstroglide Lube/Butthurt Salve he slathers on.

  29. Octopus says:

This girl has more soul in her sexy little toe than Chonky has in his entire immense emflabulation of a corpus. She’s on it!
Also, in passing, this brilliant Bowie song boasts the best lead guitar riff in rock besides possibly the Stones’ “Satisfaction.” Other contenders, off the top of my NyQuil-addled head, would include a few CCR numbers, like “Green River,” “Up Around The Bend,” and then it all gets muddy and “Layla” tries to get back in the house, after we finally dragged her skanky ass out and called her an Uber.

  30. Octopus says:

“Always, no sometimes, think it’s me
But you know I know when it’s a dream
    I think I know, I mean a… yes
    But it’s all wrong
That is, I think I disagree“

These lyrics came to me in a waking dream just now. I was under the impression they held the meaning of life, when I woke up. Now I just feel dumb and confused. Gus? Chonky? Anyone?
