    Happy thanksgiving stalkers.
Enjoy a day with friends and family.

    Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

  7. rightymouse says:

Green bean casserole and corn casserole are done. Sausage stuffing done. Turkey gets stuffed and plonked in the oven around 10:30.

    • rightymouse says:

Turkey went in the oven at 11:00. Doggy had gone out to pee & decided to go into the woods out back and ate something out there that made her throw up when she came back inside. Had to clean it up first. 😦

      • rightymouse says:

She just puked again in the living room on the carpet. 😦

        • Octopus says:

I hate when that happens! 🤮😆

          • rightymouse says:

She also puked all over her doggy bed in my office (lots of slime), then puked on the leather couch and when hubby took her out back to his office, she puked all over her doggy bed that’s out there. Hubby left her in his office until guests went home. She’s ok now.

  8. Octopus says:

Turkey in the oven since 10. I think we’ll be ready earlier than expected, which is all to the good. I want my Turkey-n-stuff! 😄

I’ve said “Happy Thanksgiving” a lot today, but I think I missed you guys. Thanks for laughing along at the Fatass, all these years. And thank you, too, Fatass…you’re the straw that stirs the 🍹. 😂😂😂😂

  9. Abu says:

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at DoD. Grateful for this oasis in a troubled world.

We had a quiet day, just daughter, wife, and me. They made a memorable dinner.

Hope all y’all had an equally nice day. 🦃🦃🦃🦃

Sorry Octo’s Lions we’re worse than my Bears. Every coach on both teams should get pink slips.

    • Octopus says:

I was very happy the Lions snatched another defeat from the jaws of victory. 0-16-1 is my fondest wish for this season. There’s this Thibodeau kid coming up this draft, we simply must have. A “generational talent,” the scouts are gibberish.

  10. ISTE says:

I am just wondering what to cook for Thanksgiving supper.

Narrowing it down to tuna and mayo on toast or cheese on toast or scrambled eggs on toast.

I have a cucumber somewhere and tuna and cucumber sandwiches on fresh bread would be nice but alas, no fresh bread, hence the emphasis on toast.

Lurking in the fridge is an AWESOME shrimp curry. But I will have to wait until tomorrow night to eat that.

Why wait you may ask? Well tomorrow morning I have to go to work and I am avoiding the potential of wrecking the restroom there…

Also, at work there is no roll of asswipe in the freezer.

A tuna and cheese omelet with toast on the side sounds good!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    • Octopus says:

You should get into baking your own bread. It’s easy and fun. 🍞

      • ISTE says:

        You got me thinking….

I used to work in a restaurant many years ago and their bread dough came frozen. It was about the size of a large bratwurst/small summer sausage. All they did was leave it out at room temperature for a while to thaw and then put it in a warm oven for more time.

It did its puffy out thingy then they put it into a hot oven to bake. It was awesome bread.

The thinking part is could I make a big batch of the bread mix and then freeze it into small single, lonely old man portions and bake as required.

        • ISTE says:

OK, two types of baking yeast are on the way. ( active and instant whatever the hell that means ) also granulated sugar and some recipes say oil.

Well as I am a five star chef I have olive oil and peanut oil and coconut oil already. Just ordered some roasted walnut oil.

Slight problem is that Amazon Fresh minimum order without delivery fee is $35 so had to buy more things I didn’t need. LOL

Looks like I will be eating roast pork butt and drinking beer later tonight whilst trashing the kitchen making bread.

Delivery 9pm to 11pm tonight. On second thoughts bread making and roasting my butt may have to wait until tomorrow.

          • Octopus says:

You won’t be sorry! I made a fresh loaf of crusty “artisan” bread yesterday, kind of long and not too puffy, only about three inches high in the middle. Makes incredible, crunchy toast, which I’m eating right now. So simple, a chonkified baby could make it, though you’d have supervise the oven part lest he/they/them burn the house down.

  11. Bunk X says:

Happy Thanksgiving to all you Mockerstalkers.

  12. rightymouse says:

We had a lovely Thanksgiving feast at our home with family. Thirteen of us. Trucker son showed up unexpectedly. He wanted to surprise me. 🙂
Doggy is ok now. Have no idea what she got in to outside on the property but it made her very sick.

    • Octopus says:

My daughter’s mini-dachshund ate a big dry maple leaf last week – puked it up along with his whole dinner. So cute! 😆

  13. rightymouse says:

    Eff Biden.

Sea Otters have pockets. I did not know that.

  15. rightymouse says:

Gotta spread that variant panic, to keep the people scared and submissive! 😱😱😱😱

    • Octopus says:

That was a Chonky retweet, btw. Helps to “justify” his never leaving the bunker to work, exercise or beg on the street.

Heroin/Fentanyl zombies in Philadelphia yesterday. 😦

    • Octopus says:

In fairness, some of them are dead. Morte. ☠️

      • rightymouse says:

The sad thing is that so many of them are very young. Am very grateful that none of our kids are dopers. It’s likely that some of them experimented early on, but they’ve all turned out to be decent, sober, hard-working people.

        • Octopus says:

I’m very grateful for the same thing, ‘Mouse. There are 2-3 young druggies in the extended-family, nieces and nephews, and it’s a very sad thing to see. Hopefully, they’ll pull out of it before they totally ruin their lives.

          • rightymouse says:

I remember this one manager at Wang Labs in Los Angeles who told me (in a snotty voice) that I would NEVER be accepted by the beautiful people in LA if I stuck my nose up at drugs. Cocaine was big at the time. My response was “What are we? In High School?”. He took offense, but wound up committing suicide years later.

          • Bunk X says:

Trouble with cocaine is you run out of it.
It didn’t do much for me – too expensive, and all it did was keep me awake so I could drink more beer. On the other hand, I appreciated the rock that some friends in Houston gave me as a going-away present. Made the long solo drive a bit safer.

          • Octopus says:

I’m grateful that the coke-blizzard blew through my circle when I was relatively poor and concentrating on school and work. I still wasted some money and had a few sleepless nights full of mindless chatter. Haven’t touched the stuff since my wedding night in ‘84. I was gifted several grams by my scoundrel friends, that evening.

          • rightymouse says:

One guy I dated did coke in front of me with his friends (including a nursing new Mom) and it made him a total ass-hole. I never touched the stuff.

  19. Bunk X says:

I just got a notice from FB.
    Austrian FAKTENCHECKEN.
    It’s in German.

  24. rightymouse says:

Am so glad she got the hell out of that hellhole.

  25. rightymouse says:

Son has just left to drive back to drop his rental car off in Youngstown. Hubby & doggy followed him so they can take him to where he parked his truck. Got ALL his laundry done & folded. Will miss him terribly. 😦

  26. rightymouse says:

    For Bunk.

  27. rightymouse says:

Gussy needs to change parties. ASAP!!

  28. rightymouse says:

Hubby is down in the man cave watching the Ohio State vs Michigan Wolverines game. I think I’m going to pick my nose or something.

  29. rightymouse says:

Bunk – Do you have any idea what happened to the GCP (Grumpy Conservative Pundit) website? The one where a-hole Rayra posted?

    • Bunk X says:

Nope. I know OF Rayra, but he was long gone by the time I started reading LGF.

      • Bunk X says:

Charles was a Rayra fan for about three years, reposting his links and comments, thanking him for support, defending him, etc., then in 2006 Charles changed his mind.

        564 Charles Fri, May 12, 2006 3:42:35pm
rayra: I’m sorry you feel that way. Same goes for [Engineer]. But I’m not going to start banning one group of people simply because another group demands it. You’re asking me to pick sides, and I’m not going to do it. Defend your opinions, or don’t. Argue with trolls, or ignore them. It’s your choice.
I defend my opinions every day by posting here, and this kind of personal grudge fighting only gets in the way. Trolls debunk themselves with their silly comments, and making them into huge enemies who need to be defeated and driven out is not only counter-productive, it makes them happy.
And I reiterate (not to rayra), inviting people to leave LGF and post elsewhere is crappy behavior, and I wouldn’t do it to any of you.

        214 Charles Fri, Sep 1, 2006 6:25:25pm
And rayra: that’s it. Make your decision. If you’re so convinced that you know better than me how to run a blog, go ahead and do it. Build your echo chamber and have fun.

Apparently this is a real pic & was taken during the initial AIDS crisis that Fauxi also botched.

  31. Octopus says:

    • rightymouse says:

Not a mask in sight! Love it!! Hubby was disappointed that Ohio lost. 😦

      • Octopus says:

That pic is blowing minds all over the world – so many people crammed into one place, storming the field, just celebrating, no rage, no fires…kind of magical. Oh, and no masks. 😂

        • rightymouse says:

Watch the Donkeys try & shut us down again because they’re scared of being whooped in the elections next year.

          • Octopus says:

They should be scared. Americans have seen the Dems in power, and reaped the shitshow. They hate it!

  33. rightymouse says:

Our RINO Governor Dewhine made some disastrous decisions early on. The restaurant business has barely recovered because of staffing issues. My favorite restaurant that reopened for a while has shuttered its doors because of staffing. Am NOT happy about it at all!!! 😦 And don’t get me started on schools/mandatory masks and businesses/mandatory COVID vaccine for employees.
