I just realized … that’s it! A new explanation for global warming—it’s the Jews’ fault!

Am I convinced global warming is a hoax? Not 100%. Maybe 95%.

But after reading Crichton’s book, with its voluminous research and documentation, and after speaking at length with a good friend who is a climatologist, I’m almost certain that at the very least, the danger is being greatly exaggerated for political reasons.

re: #183 Tigger2005

In the links above, there’s a story about a society of physicists numbering over 50,000 members that is strongly questioning the IPCC “consensus” on man-made global warming.

I have that study open in a browser window right now. Looks like Greek to me.

But the conclusion is very interesting.

Just for the record, the jury is still out on global warming. I’m reluctant to endorse either side, because the issue has been politicized beyond recognition.

re: #860 roberth

If LGF is starting to point out misrepresentations in the global warming field there won’t be any room left for other topics. Time to drop this one as the misrepresentations are predominantly by the alarmists.

I don’t recall asking you for advice on what I should post at LGF.

re: #172 burntjohn

In yesterdays Jindal thread I said that creationism and global warming shared one distinction. Both are born of junk science and propaganda.BEWARE of a merger of the two. There are those who preach the “Green Gospel”Global warming is a crises created by the sins of man and all Gods children have a moral duty to correct.

Now add the apocalyptic kooks who believe the only way to save the planet is to drastically reduce the human population.

That’s ridiculous. There are reasons to be skeptical about anthropogenic climate change, but comparing it to creationism is beyond absurd.

Chonky’s “evolution” on The Warmening took a whole weekend, early in 2009 as I recall. He said he “read a book about it” that ended his confusion and made him totally believe. Plus, he did Lewd-Wank’s brilliant “hand-behind-the-fridge”- experiment, and that was it. 😂

    • rightymouse says:

Fatso lost his marbles when Obama was elected & he figured he could cash in. Gorebull Warmening was the tip of his stupid iceberg.

      • Octopus says:

His stupid marbles were all over the floor of his playpen before that, but it’s true, they all went down the drains and mouse-holes at about this time. A very short window of time, indeed. Chonky went from a very successful (albeit, a total accident) blogcitizen, to a completely lost cause in the shortest order since Ray Kroc invented the Crabby Pattie.

I saw these tweets and could not understand how people like Fatso & this dumb broad think their vile hatred of Christianity is a ‘winning’ message.

        • Octopus says:

They know they’re safe, attacking Christianity in a mostly-Christian country. They wouldn’t dare speak out against the horrible, medieval misogyny, murder, terror, pedophilia and other delights of Islam.

          • rightymouse says:

Yeah. Don’t you DARE speak against a religion that beheads infidels, throws gays off of buildings and mutilates the genitals of young girls.

          • Octopus says:

Heavens, no! They might could stick a stick betwixt thy spokes. 😱

          • Bunk X says:

He began bashing Christianity when his mom died and he got his comic book collection back. Something happened in his childhood that he never mentioned – maybe catlick school.

          • Octopus says:

The priest preferred molesting his brother, the first “romantic” rejection of Chonky’s life. But not the last! 😭😆

          • poteen2 says:

I was a good little Catholic boy. Can’t say anything to defend the modern priesthood but we didn’t have that problem in central Illinois in the early 60s. The clergy were all old Irishmen who were drinking buddies with our grandfathers. That wouldn’t have gone over too well.
We also had Sister Ignatia. Born in Ireland, parents died when she was 15, raised her younger siblings to adulthood and THEN joined the convent. Ended up in Illinois and taught in Catholic school for 60 years. Well into her 90s. Taught my mother, her older brother and sisters, me and my brothers, and 2 or 3 generations after. Put a yard stick in her hand and she was the most fearsome Catholic Ninja in history. All 4 foot 9 of her. There was no misbehavior in class or diddling junior parishioners. Hell, put her on a horse in the Crusades and Saladin would have converted.

          • poteen2 says:

            Charlie needs a Sister Ignatia.

          • Octopus says:

I was a good Catholic boy, meself. Altar boy for several years. Never a hint of creepy pedo stuff in our parish, either. Our first parish priest died of a heart attack right after mass one Sunday – he was about 70. The second priest who took over was a great guy, who worked counseling parents of sick and/or dying kids at Detroit Children’s Hospital. Some of his work stories made it into his sermons, and they were harrowing. Too real for some people. Tragically, he was also a heavy drinker who drove the wrong way up a freeway entrance and died in a head-on collision. 😱

The trailer almost lost me at, “The Panthers were security,” knowing what a pernicious gang of thugs, rapists and drug-dealers they really were. David Horowitz was deeply-involved in the “Revolution,” and talks all about the Panthers in “Radical Son,” and in other writings. Bad people.

But…the music. I will be loving this flick, despite the racial banter and whatnot. The soul music cannot be denied.

    • Octopus says:

I was really hoping to see Chonky weigh in on this issue. I think he recognized it as the third-rail where his alter-ego Lewd-Wank gang aft agley. Not to mention, he’s threatening three bills himself these days.

But Whoopi is frickin’ huge, eh? And Ana Navarro is no sylph, hersylph. Reminds me of this joke, which nearly caused a family fracture about a year ago:

My wife’s cousin took exception to this joke, being a very politically-correct Portlander, with a big wife and two big daughters. Hey, they can’t all be perfect gems.

That reminds me of this girl I grew up with, who was unbelievably bony as a kid, and right up to about her senior year in high school. Homely, too. Then she got signed as a model, and had a nice career for several years – made so much money, she put herself through med school. So, smart too.

But after reading Crichton’s book, with its voluminous research and documentation, and after speaking at length with a good friend who is a climatologist, I’m almost certain that at the very least, the danger is being greatly exaggerated for political reasons.

He was referring to State of Fear which was a typical Crichton fiction formula – five people with one or two turncoats thrown into a scary situation – and in this case it was about government-controlled weather. The novel is okay, but the back up research and footnotes were better. The appendix cited resources including NASA studies. In the second printing, those studies got memory-holed for some reason.

This song was popular during my last dive into Young Country Radio, over two years ago. Still getting airplay today. That means it strikes some kind of chord with a lot of people. I appreciate it more, the second time around my block. I like Combs more, after a string of hits. Heartfelt numbers, like “Beer Never Broke My Heart.” 😀

    Moshe asks Sarah ,
“Do you remember the first time we had sex together over fifty years ago? We went behind the village tavern where you leaned against the back fence and I made love to you.”
“Yes”, she says, “I remember it well.”
“OK”, he says, “How about taking a stroll around there again and we can do it for old time’s sake?”

“Oh Moshe, you old devil, that sounds like a crazy, but good idea!”
A police officer sitting in the next booth heard their conversation and, having a chuckle to himself, he thinks to himself, I’ve got to see these two old-timers having sex against a fence. I’ll just keep an eye on them so there’s no trouble. So he follows them.

The elderly couple walks haltingly along, leaning on each other for support aided by walking sticks. Finally, they get to the back of the tavern and make their way to the fence The old lady lifts her skirt and the old man drops his trousers. As she leans against the fence, the old man moves in…

Then suddenly they erupt into the most furious sex that the policeman has ever seen. This goes on for about ten minutes while both are making loud noises and moaning and screaming. Finally, they both collapse, panting on the ground.
The policeman is amazed. He thinks he has learned something about life and old age that he didn’t know.

After about half an hour of lying on the ground recovering, the old couple struggle to their feet and put their clothes back on.

The policeman, is still watching and thinks to himself, this is truly amazing, I’ve got to ask them what their secret is.

So, as the couple passes, he says to them, “Excuse me, but that was something else. You must’ve had a fantastic sex life together. Is there some sort of secret to this?”

Shaking, the old man is barely able to reply,
“Fifty years ago that wasn’t an electric fence.”

George has been featured on the AoS pet thread, but not since was about a year old. Great shot of him posing in a regal manner, on my daughter’s bed.

I think I’ll send in an update one of these days, with him and his two buddies, my kids’ Dachshund and German Shepherd. We had a ball last night, watching them chase around the house while Paddy and I worked on installing the new floor. Maybe I’ll send in a cruel Halloween pic, with all of them in this year’s costumes. 😂

The company brought in 6 Filipina nurses to save money. All had at least a 4 year degree and really knew their stuff but had to work as CNAs until their “educational level was verified”.
When they finally got their RN tickets punched they still made much less than the other nurses.
They were head and shoulders better at the job than the others. White black and hispanic.

It all started when Superman had that “accidental” coupling stop the New York penthouse patio, where the Invisible Man was having coitus with Wonder Woman, in the missionary position. Superman saw her writhing around naked, and understandably took it as an invitation. He was so caught up in the moment, he never noticed it was a sandwich-type situation. The Invisible Man was so shocked, he couldn’t make a peep – just took it. All of it.
