In California, they’re in so much trouble with our version of it, called “Covered California” that they put a deceptive proposition on the ballot – 56 – which is designed to give money to insurance companies under the guise of “getting people to stop smoking.” It raises cigarette taxes $2.00 per pack. Only 13% of the revenue is supposedly ear-marked for smoking programs. The rest is for Covered California.
If they’re soooooo concerned about the POOOOOR in California, and illegals, why are they punishing them by raising the price of something they traditionally do?
