Another defeat for Chuck

It’s been a bad few months for online cult leader Charles Johnson.  After predicting a massive Republican defeat in last November elections – they actually had a massive win! Barret Brown has humiliated and exposed Chuck as a fraud. His blog has become an irrelevant cult and the laughingstock of the blogosphere. He claimed to have defeated James O’Keefe, even as 2 NPR executives resign.  Now he has suffered an additional humiliation.

Chuck recently made the showdown in Between Gov. Scot Walker and the public sector unions in Wisconsin, his pet cause. He smeared and ruthlessly attacked Governor  Walker thinking he can make a difference.  Well it comes to no surprise to us here that once again, Charles has no influence on events. Gov. Walker passed the collective bargaining reform and Chuck whines in defeat.

Charles, your Dan Rather days are over. You have no influence and have been backing losing causes over the last year.  Chuck, you admitted you were not normal and was going to start playing video games more as part of your new normal life. Just do it and spare yourself the agony of more defeats.

Charles, I’ll be nice and give you a consolation prize. You actually did a post on a real Nazi, who was arrested!

Charles, I’m proud that for once you did  a post on a real Nazi. I doubt this will happen for a while since Nazism is not a big ideology. I know you think Nazism is on the march and this news will reinforce your paranoia. I bet you were overjoyed at this news. After your recent defeats and humiliation, I can’t blame you.

Update: Resident losers Killgore Trout and Gus802 chime in.

Elections have consequence and you lost.

Update:

Our visiting troll, LOL was none other than Jimmah and possibly Iceweasel. The IP adress was from Scotland.

and talk about disingenuous…. “Wisconsin Republicans Ram Through Union Busting Bill”…

“to force something through a deliberative body, usually not allowing due consideration.”

Hey dumbass – why do you think there wasn’t “due consideration”? OH THAT’S RIGHT, all the democrats side stepped their responsibilities and ran away (little babies). How long has this democrat attention whore drama been playing out now? how many weeks? how many opportunities for the dems to pull on the big boy pants, return home and do the jobs they were elected to do?

This is a perfect example of how the democrat mind thinks and reacts. Didn’t win the election? Ok, first try and cheat through a ballot recount… that didn’t work? Ok, when things aren’t going our way, we’ll run away and stall the process.

    Talk about immature bullshit.

  5. PrivateJohnson says:

    and as for union busting??

    Here are Scott Walker’s words:

“We ask government workers to make a 5.8% contribution to their pensions and a 12.6% contribution to their health-insurance premium, both of which are well below what other workers pay for benefits. Our plan calls for Wisconsin state workers to contribute half of what federal employees pay for their health-insurance premiums. (It’s also worth noting that most federal workers don’t have collective bargaining for wages and benefits.)

The unions say they are ready to accept concessions, yet their actions speak louder than words. Over the past three weeks, local unions across the state have pursued contracts without new pension or health-insurance contributions. Their rhetoric does not match their record on this issue.”

You call this union busting? Boy Chunky, you really do lack basic reading comprehension skills don’t you?

You, like every other immature hack out there who doesn’t have a clue, (since you cannot read a couple of paragraphs and absorb them) would rather grab onto some simplistic absurdities put forth by the unions and wave that flag. If you had any brains, or were honest about it, you would see that these changes proposed by Wisconsin are really quite minor in scope. Why shouldn’t the unions (the 12% of the work force) be willing to contribute to their pensions or health care costs? These are government workers! Why should the taxpayer be forced into paying for their health care and pensions. As it is (if this law is passed) the taxpayer will still be paying for 94% of the government employee pensions and 87% of their health care costs.

The poor, poor abused state employees. Why, I believe I must go sit in the corner and weep.

And meanwhile, we have the same “types” demonstrating at the Wisconsin Capitol today trashing and destroying public property (puttin’ it to the man, man) in a fit of juvenile anger.

“Our house-our house-our house”, they chant. None of them having a clue about what it really means to own a house of any type.

  10. garycooper says:

“Our house,” indeed. Just like the squatters who move into people’s temporarily-vacant rental homes in Detroit, properties which are held by many retirees as part of their retirement-income program, and then it takes nearly a year of court-battles to get them removed. It’s sickening. I had this happen to a family-member recently, so it’s fresh in my outraged mind.

If only we could drop a similar bomb on the unions in southeastern Michigan. 😉
(not in this kid’s lifetime, probably)

    • ISpeakJive says:

Yeah, we have squatters here now moving into vacant foreclosed houses, which wouldn’t be so horrible if they, ya know, mowed the yard and all. But they’re trashing the houses, breaking windows, shitting on the carpets, pulling out the copper wiring. The city ends up throwing them out and boarding up all the windows.

      • garycooper says:

The same happens whenever you provide free housing to low-lifes, whether it be part of some misguided, massive federal program like the “War On Poverty,” or just the criminal activities of drug-dealers moving from house to house, staying one step ahead of the cops, and destroying one house and neighborhood at a time.

Hey Deadalus/Rodan, I’m glad to see that you actually admit that Nazis do really exist in the U.S., and that occasionally they try to act like terrorists.

    • garycooper says:

Beat that dead horse, Nodrog! 🙂

This debate reminds me of the one I’ve been listening to for decades now, between the Greeks, Armenians, Turks and Albanians who live around Detroit. I’m married into the Greek Nation, but have friends and business acquaintances in all the others. Ooh, the venom that persists! It would come to blood, if they weren’t all living the dream in America, or at least making a decent living and living like kings compared to their lives in the Old Country(s).

“Genocide” is a term that gets thrown around a lot. In most cases, it’s misused, and actually refers to low-level ethnic-wars that are fought bitterly and eventually won by one side or another. Europe is rife with such situations, obviously. So is Asia, Africa and parts of the Americas, even.

      World peace…what a concept, eh?

      • garycooper says:

More than 80 percent of all convictions tied to international terrorist groups and homegrown terrorism since 9/11 involve defendants driven by a radical Islamist agenda, a review of Department of Justice statistics shows.

Though Muslims represent about 1 percent of the American population, they constitute defendants in 186 of the 228 cases DOJ lists.

      http://weaselzippers.us/2011/03/10/department-of-justice-statistics-show-at-least-80-of-all-terror-convictions-involved-islam/

Of course, these statistics come from that right wing extremist group, the Department of Justice, so husky bloggers (and Nodrog) need not disturb their deeply cherished fears of a right wing Christian/Nazi assault on America.

Charles, I’m proud that for once you did a post on a real Nazi.

However, notice this howler that he quoted uncritically from SPLC’s libel site:

Our research indicates that Harpham was apparently in the military in 1996-97, when records suggest he was part of the 1st Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment at Fort Lewis, Wash. The SPLC reported in 2006 that Fort Lewis was one of several military installations with a concentration of secret extremist members.

So Harpham was there in ’96 to 97, and there was some skimpy SPLC-quality evidence that there were Nazis there in 2006. So?

In case these dunces aren’t aware, Ft. Lewis, now Joint Base Lewis-McChord, isn’t a tiny outpost out in the woods, it’s part of the greater Tacoma area, and has tens of thousands of enlisted personnel.

Interesting backdrop to the King hearings on the threat of homegrown Islamic terrorism with the arrest of Harpham in Spokane’s MLK parade bomb plot – that while there is a threat from Islamic terrorists who radicalize and recruit in the US, there’s a threat too from radical white supremacists, neo Nazis, and other extremist groups that are well armed and have a violent ideology on which to draw more disaffected people into their sphere.

FBI stats bear this out – from 2002 to 2005:

Eight of the 14 recorded terrorism preventions stemmed from right-wing extremism, and included disruptions to plotting by individuals involved with the militia, white supremacist, constitutionalist and tax protestor, and anti-abortion movements. The remaining preventions included disruptions to plotting by an anarchist in Bellingham, Washington, who sought to bomb a U.S. Coast Guard station; a plot to attack an Islamic center in Pinellis Park, Florida; and a plot by prison-originated, Muslim convert group to attack U.S. military, Jewish, and Israeli targets in the greater Los Angeles area. In addition, three preventions involved individuals who sought to provide material support to foreign terrorist organizations, including al-Qa’ida, for attacks within the United States.

Whereas the violent global jihadist movement manifested itself primarily in terrorism preventions in the United States from 2002 through 2005, internationally the movement claimed major attacks against U.S. and Western targets that resulted in American casualties. Most of these incidents were perpetrated by regional jihadist groups operating in primarily Muslim countries, and included attacks committed by Indonesia-based Jemaah Islamiya and al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula. The coordinated suicide bombing of London’s mass transit system by homegrown jihadists, however, brought the violent jihadist movement and the tactic of suicide bombing to a major European capital.

Terrorist threats are varied, and while al Qaeda and jihadi groups pose a distinct threat, they are hardly alone.

What does separate the al Qaeda and their hellspawn threat from others is their repeated attempts to carry out high profile mass casualty attacks – and they’ve largely been thwarted in the US since 9/11 due to the work by the FBI and law enforcement around the nation – breaking up numerous plots in the NYC metro area for instance that focus on Port Authority properties (WTC, PATH, tunnels, airports) and landmarks.
    —————————————————————————
Focusing solely on the AQ/radical Islamist threat would ignore the incidents carried out by other groups with a radical agenda.
    —————————————————————————-

A cogent post right up to the last line.
    To Lawhawk and the rest;
Harpham’s in jail. He wasn’t ignored any more than Muslim terrorists are being ignored. The FBI is doing it’s job. King’s congressional committee is doing it’s job and they’re doing it better than the gov’t officials a few years back who were ‘focusing’ on returning vets. Turned out the ‘military threat’ was a Muslim radical who never deployed.
    Idiots.

When something is “free”, it has no value. Imagine the scale of squalor and ugliness in the Soviet Union. It was UGLY. When something is just given to people, they don’t give a damn about it. When you OWN something, you take care of it. When you don’t, you really don’t give a shit, and feel entitled to just trash it.

    • Formercorpsman says:

Natasha, how old were you when you left?

    • garycooper says:

You’re absolutely right about that, Princess. Even my teenaged-kids have admitted they didn’t realize the value of anything, until they started working and earning their own money, and then spending their own money on things they desired. Suddenly, they didn’t “need” nearly the amount of clothes and shoes as they used to, when the bills were just paid without much grumbling by dear old Dad.

This is also why kids who grow up uber-rich are often totally lost and wasted by life, as it is very difficult to instill the proper values in such “lucky ones.” I never knew any rich kids while I was growing up, and my middle-class family had to work hard for everything we had. It wasn’t until I got to college that I started meeting the scions of the wealthy, and my initial jealousy at their possessions and financial freedoms eventually paled when I realized they weren’t happy or fulfilled by anything that was given to them, for doing nothing. A lot of them crashed and burned.

After the great success (sarc) of the “Robin Hood” funding scheme, who should be the next pocket to pick to fund inefficient school districts? Feel free to use the example of how “Robin Hood” wrecked LaPorte ISD if you wish.

Or should Texas (as Iowahawk shows, Texas achieves better results than Wisconsin in a number of areas) move to direct State control of schools?

Hey OLT, the local ISD control the budgets for the district but the salaries are set by the Texas State Teachers Assoc. Texas arm of the NEA. My ISD just finished budget discussions of how to make it all work and still pay our Robin Hood share. From info sessions we learned that salaries cannot be frozen or reduced, the contract is settled. Either raise taxes or reduce number of teachers but we must meet that number. Regardless of what State the teachers work in, having their salary untouched is far more important than saving teachers jobs. My town voted in a tax increase. I am still angry and yes, my kids are in the public high school.

You can count on mommy dearest to launch into a tirade on a pretty consistent basis, about the uneducated people who should not be allowed to breath, (I don’t know how much education it takes to drives a bus, but I’m betting there is no thesis requirement) yet, it is the other side who was never for the working man.

We are watching them melt in real time. This hits home for one major reason.

    Money.

The unions donate exclusively to Dems. Not only donate, but donate in amounts incomprehensible to the average outfit by unreal amounts. A simple search online would show that in the last 2 decades alone, just the top 5 unions to donate in that time frame, approaches 200 million alone.

Breaking just that amount, is 10 million per year. That does not even scratch the surface of the other Dem leaning donations.

This is a gravy train, and Walker just put a penny on the track in an attempt to derail it.

    • OldLineTexan says:

The Unions “donate” funds to the Dems almost exclusively.
The Dems make sure that Union employees get a bigger place at the taxpayer-funded trough.

Everybody gets richer except the taxpayers.

    The “tragedy of the Commons”.

Remember the two assclowns that were going to kill “88” black people and THEN assassinate Obama?

Comedy gold isn’t a recent thing at The National Security Blog.

I think Charles grew up wathcing too many WWII Movies. I bet he watches the Longest day and Saving Private. I bet he has video games, where fights Nazis.

Wait… wouldn’t that make it 89 black people? 88.5? stoopid neo-nazis can’t even get their own symbolism right,

Mubarak had a place to go and his money was in banks and could have been seized. Nobody wants Dagoofi and he has gold on hand that he’s paying a mercenary army with. If he runs out of gold he’s dead.

snowcrash :Hey OLT, the local ISD control the budgets for the district but the salaries are set by the Texas State Teachers Assoc.

Teachers are not the only school district employees or expense. In fact, teachers are VERY close to being a minority of school district employees. People who shout about laying off some giant number of teachers are trying to distract from REAL fat in the budgets.

My kids are (and were) in our LOCAL, EXCELLENT public schools but it is still a fact that everything costs money. I shell out thousands in taxes and still pay for fee after fee, etc. But if I’m out of money at home and can’t just tax my employer for more. I have to cut back expenditures.

    • snowcrash says:

All true and excellent points. I only have one left in the ISD. You are outside of Houston? I am suburb of Dallas, mid cities.

    Libya is tribal. Booga-Booga.

Egypt has a long history of ethnic and religious co-existence, give or take a few Copts.

    • Bagua says:

Good point, and the Copts are a powerless minority. Libya has regional sub-groups who retain some power.

Yes, outside of Houston. I have been for a long while except for a brief period in the late ’70’s when Houston crawled out and assimilated my home like a less-friendly version of the Borg.

Where we live now, all Houston has done lately is establish hydraulic despotism by taking away our wellwater (via threats of taxpayer-funded lawsuits) in the name of subsidence prevention. This doubled my water bill (eat your heart out, Obama) and forces me to exist on their nasty pond water if they feel like pumping it to me. Oh, and I’m still paying local taxes to the MUD to pay for the well equipment we can no longer can use.

All big cities are black holes, IMO, and Houston is one of the holiest.

There is more where that came from.

The New Chunky would have been a great LGF-monitor for LGF-Watch, a few years back. He’d have been VIGILANT!

Such a bad joke, the whole swamp-thing has become. Still funny sometimes, though, like finding out its new Sergeant-at-Arms is a former gendarme of the Watch-Bats. 😆

While I tend to agree that IF and Rodan don’t consider the large # of Muslims who don’t follow the Koran to a deadly conclusion. i.e. the Indonesian farmers who can’t read it and never heard of Al Qeada and the Taliban twerp who really likes beating his wives but won’t strap a bomb on his ass even for allah.
It is plain asshole stupid to try and compare the dangers of muslim extremists to modern neonazis or fringe Christian fundamentalist groups like Charlie is trying to do.
From restaurant bombings to the twin towers nothing in recent history matches the number or scope of attacks on innocents by those who profess to be muslim.
Tim McVeigh came close, once. He was caught and executed.
The world will be better off if it focuses it’s attention on identifying and eliminating the islamist threat rather than worrying if somebody takes offense to being investigated.

  47. Wow! How could this have happened after Chuck declared his solidarity with them and everything?

  48. Jimbo XL says:

Hey LGF “contributors” (lol) because i know you are reading every word, come and whine about this so called war on the middle class by Governor Walker when WI taking away CB on benefits makes your gas prices go up, makes your food prices go up, makes your company lay you off because they cant afford new regulations. Otherwise just go back to doing what you do best which is whining about Nazis under your beds at night or doing your ongoing expose on state flags and how they are actually sekrit Nazi flags.

You’re relics of the past supporting a morbidly obese government that’s a relic of the past unable to keep up with the realities of the world today. Gold-plated America is dead, time to moveon.you. Charles maybe you can get all the LGFers together and send in an application to have Obama come and speak, you’ll be competing with about 70 some odd high schools, pretty good odds.

Did anyone tell al-chuki that there really ARE radicals at Ft Lewis?

Ft. Lewis Guardsman Accused Of Espionage
FORT LEWIS – Since his conversion to Islam, a National Guardsman developed an extremist ideology that led him to try to share military information with al-Qaida, defense officials say.

Spc. Ryan G. Anderson, 26, was arrested Thursday at this Army base south of Tacoma, just days before he was to leave for duty in Iraq. He was being held at the Fort Lewis Regional Corrections Facility “pending criminal charges of aiding the enemy by wrongfully attempting to communicate and give intelligence to the al-Qaida terrorist network,” Army Lt. Col. Stephen Barger said.

Anderson, from Lynnwood, north of Seattle, became a Muslim during the last five years, defense officials said.
